Khao San Road is the main foreigner hippie stoner tourist strip.

Funky shops, and wide variety of places and styles for the getting of drunk.

Namaste.

Khao San Road.  Booze clouded confusion.

Hill tribe women walk through the street-side bars to sell trinkets.

It'a a good plan, this targeting of drunk foreigners.

We ended up with this necklace.

Suzy, with beer, beer-cozy, and necklace.

Sarah with the necklace, and her fifth mug of the night.

The Australian dudes next to us were drinking this boot.

Next day, Travel.

On the train ride to the Cambodian border, Sarah spent a lot of quality time with her stomach.

This shot is our Cambodian bus.  Eight hours of off-road adventure.

Matt got the front seat.

Here is one of the better sections of road (notice small patches of pavement).

The gas station has no pumps. It's just a rack full of plastic bottles.

Our driver, fillin 'er up.

Yes, he's probably only 15.  The majority of the country is under 20.

Headlights went out on the bus.  Took about an hour to fix.

But we finally made it to Siem Reap, in the heart of Cambodia.

Angkor Wat is the general name for the huge campus of Buddhist temples from the Angkor era.

Here we are approaching the south gate of Angkor Tom.

Demons on the right, holding up the railing.

Angkor God-Kings on the left.

Sarah, Suzy, and about 29 demon gods.

Demon head.

Matt helps the demons hold up their banister.

Angkor Tom, South Gate.
