Next up, we traveled to Malaca, in Malaysia.

This is the center of town.

This is the street we stayed on.  In a rather ugly little hotel.

Our friend Douglas stayed just down the street.  Here is the view from his hotel roof.

And another one.

Just around the corner from our Hotel was this Toast Restaurant.

"...your addicted kopitiam."

Of course.

In case you are still confused about the Toast Reastaurant.

This should clear it up.

If Toast seems a bit too fancy, I would recommend...

Elvis Presley's Bananna Peanut Butter Sandwich.

At one time (in Ye Olde Pirate days), Malaca was the most important port in Southeast Asia.  On top of the big hill in town is a fort.

You can almost see the fort in this picture.  Yep.

Inside the fort are funny grave stones.

The history museums in town had a generally eclectic theme: "Everything that has not rusted completely to dust."

Here is Sarah with a totally sweet orange bulldozer.

These traditional ox-carts are still in use.  Mostly they carry cheap trinkets to sell to tourists.

Malacca skyline.

The back road of the main history museum in town.

Sarah on a green porch.

Sarah with some bad-ass Malaysian Samurai type dude.  I think he is an important king whose name I should remember.

Palazzo Coca Cola.

The wind is beginning to whoop it up outside.

Ominious skies.

I think this is the Stone Samurai guy again.  This time featuring Toy Ships.

The next day, in China Town, we located the heppest cats in the area.

Shell Oil is working hard to make Malaysia better.

One of the scurvy pirates in this picture is actually Matt.

Sarah poses with booty.

My name is Matt, and this is my Pirate Ship.

Sarah is in charge of the Poop Deck.

This pirate ship sails on shrubbery, not water.

Malaysia's state religion is Islam.

Bicycle rikshaws.  Generally called "tuk-tuk" if they're motorized.

Another shot of your basic tourist trap ox cart.

Back in Singapore.

Casket shops that sport neon signs are the coolest.
