Lam Ty Ni Pagoda

Not only does Dalat feature a crazy house, it also boasts a wacky monk.  Behind the pagoda itself is Vien Tuc's immense workshop and warehouse.  He has produced more than 100,000 paintings and sculptures in his life.

The gardens of the pagoda are like the Easter Islands of Kitsch.  Mysterious, spooky, goofy, all at once.

Didn't believe me about the 100,000 works of art?

These are only the framed ones.

The unframed works reside in another wing of the workshop.

Goodbye, Vien Thuc.

The Governor General's Residence.

Sometimes used as a guest house for party officials, mostly it's open to the public as a museum.

Between this place and the Reunification Palace, Vietnam does a great job at preserving the Haute 60s decorative arts.

Kailyn practices being The President.

I practice being The President's Uncle.

Notice my sweet booties.  No shoes in the house.

I pretended to be photographing this giant concrete buck-tooth bunny, but really I was trying to get the old couple seated behind.

Here's me and that German kid's show sensation whose name I always forget.

Most of the internet cafes have a video game starring this guy.  I have tried to play, but all the info is in German and/or Vietnamese.  Downright frusrtating.  I hate this guy.

It is conceivable that this fly is collecting humongous pollen spores, but I can't be sure.

We took a gravity-powered rollercoaster to another waterfall.

Fun is way more fun in countries where nobody can sue you for malfeasance.  This ride was terrifying.

Sarah and Kailyn chill by the waterfall.

Kailyn prepares for her elephant ride.
