More statue garden.

The Foot continues to be my favorite.

But the fish is good too.

Reverse fish.

Sleepy.

The cone hat is not a quaint affectation.  It's still the normal choice for street cleaners, trash scroungers, agricultural workers, anybody who spends too much time in the sun.

The 80s.

The developers and Civic Potentates intend to rid this harbor of all the fishing boats.  The fisherman live on these boats, and there's always at least thirty (sometimes a hundred or more) in the bay.

Since the fishermen all poop straight into the water, it makes swimming at Front Beach a prospect somewhat less than wonderful.

However, thus far the fishermen have resisted being relocated.

Sweet bug!

Our friend Heather got this shot, somewhere in southern Vietnam.  Not exactly sure where.

The other fish.

Suanna managed to catch peeps in the foot.

A few pics from Sarah's work.

Notice the red t-shirt.  Every kid gets a t-shirt and an branded backpack when they sign up for a course.

Adam Stevens teaches running and screaming drills.

ILA Vungtau Front Office

ILA likes a High Corporate Glam image.

In this shot you can see the ILA Vietnam backpacks on the left.

Sarah with very pregnant coworkers, Hien and Dai.

This was just a few days before Hien and Dai went on maternity leave.  Vietnamese employees get four months paid maternity leave.

Sarah's office

She keeps a picture of Roger Federer on her bulletin board.

The computer room, which has some corporate name like Media Center, or Interactive Technology Synthesis Learning Collaboraction Facility.

Teacher's Day is a big deal in Vietnam.

Cambridge Certificate graduation ceremony

Turns out to be a combination graduation and up-sell marketing confab.  The kids get a certificate, a karaoke contest, and a gee-whiz marketing harrangue about bigger, better classes they can take in the future.

Sarah is the Token White Chick.  She is wearing her sweet gold ao dai.

Dai and her daughter Bao are on the left, Giao is on the right.

Sarah and Thuy, our Vietnamese teacher.

Sarah and Thuy again.

This is Sarah's OTHER ao dai.  Both of them were custom made by Thuy's sister.

The whole ILA Vietnam crew.
